Reliance Securities is an arm of Reliance Capital. It was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Mumbai. It is a Full-service broker which is registered with both NSE (National Stock Exchange) and BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange).

Segments offered:

Reliance Securities provides a range of investment products like Equities, IPO’s, Derivatives, and some other financial services such as PMS (Portfolio Management Scheme), Insurance, etc.

In derivatives, it includes Equities, Currencies, and Commodities. A trader can get all the required products to trade in Reliance Securities. To open an account, you need to have some basic documents such as Identity proof, Address proof, Income proof, PAN card, and a cancelled cheque of your Bank account.

Charges:

Being a Full-service broker Reliance Securities charges a nominal fee of Rs 400 per annum. The account opening is completely free and virtual. There are 2 brokerage plans that Reliance provide, they are:

1) R- Online Insta Account Plan:

This is a discount broking plan that does not include some services like Research reports, Relationship manager, etc. In this plan the Brokerage is fixed at 0.25% for Equity Delivery & Intraday trading. For Futures trading the brokerage is 0.025% and for Options, the charges are Rs 25 per Lot. This includes Commodities, Equities, and Currencies.

2) R- Fixed Plan:

The second type of plan that Reliance Securities provide is a comprehensive plan. You will get the benefits of Full-services broker in this plan. The brokerage is 0.50% for Equity Delivery and 0.05% for Equity Intraday trading. The brokerage for Futures is 0.05% and for options, and Rs 100 per Lot for Currencies, Equity and Commodities.

Conclusion:

To conclude it can be said that Reliance Securities is a good Full-Service broker that provides many services apart from broking. The only downside to this platform is that it’s very expensive when it comes to Equity, Currency or Commodities trading. Even with the R-Online Insta account, the brokerage is Rs 25 per lot which is more than most of the discount brokers. The brokerage in the R-Fixed is even higher at Rs 100 per lot.
